As I write about Alfred G. Vanderbilt aboard the Lusitania, the beauty of the Irish coastline overwhelms me. Dark gray waters of the North Sea give way to the broad expanse of the greenish tinged waters of the North Atlantic. The sky is moody, ever changing with streaks of golden light through clouds as large white sea gulls fly overhead.
Remote. Magical. Wild. Untamed.
