I love the smell of spring. It is simply something amazing. Gets your heart racing for apparently no real reason; maybe it is just the promise of something new. Something in the air; as the brown earth turns green, pale green buds opening on trees, and flowers pop out of nowhere as birds chirp from dawn to dusk. You look forward to longer hours of daylight as the day stretches further into the night. 

Springtime fills me with longing; it really heralds the new year to me. Finally those resolutions I tried to get together in January, actually seem to carry weight and move forward. Travel, exploration, and enjoying the company of loved ones fill my thoughts. It is a time full of excitement and the possibility right now.

I like the moodiness in the sky. It was so bright yesterday and I enjoyed being outside a good deal; and today it is more of a slate gray wash, reminding me of docks, retrievers, and water.

These are the days filled with hope and promise.
